State your hypothesis, tying your project back to the impact it might have.
Listing bylines of the cinematographers/editors on video posts on the website, in addition to the producer or reporter will be a more accurate representation, more transparent to the reader and more fair to the creators. |

What problem are we trying to solve for our communities with this experiment? How might it help us better serve them?
Currently, on video posts (for Oregon Field Guide, OREX, Art Beat, etc.), only the producer gets a linked byline. Our credits as cinematographers and editors (who spent as much, if not more time reporting the piece) are buried inside the film/video in the credits. Other organizations list the filmmaker in the byline as well as the reporter or producer, which seems more accurate/fair. |

Lay out the potential project steps to the best of your ability, including key teams that would need to be consulted. This is your best knowledge of the systems, tools and lift that would be required.
The editors, producers, and cinematographers would need to align on who has the most stake in the story/video and decide on who gets the byline. |
