State your hypothesis, tying your project back to the impact it might have.
My theory is that Mercury handles iframes a certain way and we may be able to work with them to clean up the display issue. |

What problem are we trying to solve for our communities with this experiment? How might it help us better serve them?
When we create data visualizations in Datawrapper we check a box to automagically display the viz in dark mode when the user is reading the story in dark mode. This helps prevent a big white box from appearing in a story if someone is viewing it in dark mode. On the app, the responsive iframe does turn black but there is a sliver of white around that. It appears there's a buffer built into the container used to hold the viz. Looks wonky. |

Lay out the potential project steps to the best of your ability, including key teams that would need to be consulted. This is your best knowledge of the systems, tools and lift that would be required.
Send test case or two to Mercury and if it's something they can remedy, open a ticket with them to get it resolved. If it can't be resolved, we'll either need to live with it or consider not using Datawrapper. |
