State your hypothesis, tying your project back to the impact it might have.

We are not currently pulling in NPR digital content from all topics that may be of interest to our KMHD audience, and the OPB-centric way that NPR content is categorized in the Arc CMS means that KMHD editors do not have good visibility into what NPR content we are pulling in.

By pulling in additional topics relevant to KMHD, and auto-circulating Jazz-related stories to the KMHD site, I think we could publish more stories to KMHD that our users would find engaging.

Which metrics would you use to track the success of this project? We will use this as the foundation of our experiment design. (Optional)

Number of stories published to KMHD per week

Total KMHD article page views

What problem are we trying to solve for our communities with this experiment? How might it help us better serve them?

By taking better advantage of the Jazz and Jazz-related content NPR distributes over the wire, we can better serve KMHD audiences on KMHD digital platforms.

Lay out the potential project steps to the best of your ability, including key teams that would need to be consulted. This is your best knowledge of the systems, tools and lift that would be required.
  1. Audit what topics we are currently pulling from NPR, and the total list of available NPR topics to determine which are relevant to KMHD.

  2. Create a defined list of NPR topics we would like to auto-circulate to KMHD within the Arc CMS.

  3. Make adjustment to the NPR Inbound Content Feed to pull any additional topics, and to circulate stories from these topics to KMHD.
