State your hypothesis, tying your project back to the impact it might have.
Making it easier for OPB staff to share links to their stories on social platforms will drive traffic to the homepage. |

Which metrics would you use to track the success of this project? We will use this as the foundation of our experiment design. (Optional)
Using SND to manage links in bios will give OPB access to analytics about how this succeeds. As far as I am aware, right now we are tracking zero links to our online content driven by journalist owned accounts -- and it's harder for these journalists to link back to their work. Expanding access to SND would allow more links back to OPB journalism and would create a path to tracking those clicks. |

What problem are we trying to solve for our communities with this experiment? How might it help us better serve them?
A growing share of OPB journalists are setting up professional Instagram accounts to share their work. I believe OPB's Social News Desk account has unlimited seats. SND also makes it easier to share link-in-bio links. So expanding access to SND to journalists with professional accounts would make it easier for them to share direct links to their web stories, and connect with audiences on these platforms. |

Lay out the potential project steps to the best of your ability, including key teams that would need to be consulted. This is your best knowledge of the systems, tools and lift that would be required.
Social media team reviews proposal and confirms that OPB has unlimited SND seats. If that is not correct and we don't have SND seats, then kill this proposal. If we do have SND seats, the social media product team will need to communicate this opportunity to staff. And somebody with admin-level SND access will need to manage requests and add people to the tool. People involved in audience analytics should then track to see how it works. |
